All in One

Sunday, 24 February 2013

So many firsts in this post! *slow clap* It was my first time to do 3 piece layering, mixing stripes on gingham print, denim on denim all in one outfit. And first time to shoot in this place near our village. Kudos to my sister for taking these awesome photos!

Layering is a good way to mix your favorite pieces in your closet. Start with thinner clothes first then layer up with heavier fabrics. This coming summer, it's all about stripes, prints and colors. Never be afraid to experiment, because you'll learn what works and what doesn't. As long as you're comfortable, go for it!

I wore my favorite chukka boots from Forever 21 for a grungy feel. I actually used these as my school shoes and I know, it's not allowed in school, but rules are sometimes meant to be broken (style wise) haha.

Sorry for flooding my photos, guys! This set is really my favorite. I hope you like this outfit as much as I do! Have a great week ahead! :)

Tied Up

Thursday, 14 February 2013

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! I really had a great day, because I spent my day with my loved ones. First, I had an "intimate" breakfast with my closest friends in college after class. Second, I had a buffet lunch with family. Third, I jogged to burn everything (lol). And then had dinner again with family! Useless! Haha You, how did you spend your VD? :)

Anyway, here's what I wore last Monday to start my busy week! Just a normal day at school. I wore a necktie for a change! In a place where T-shirt x jeans reign supreme, people would think I'm a professor or manager of a restaurant. Haha!

With or without varsity jacket?
Swatch watch, Nato strap from Asprey, Starbucks planner & Topshop notebook

These moccasins are so comfy!

Bossini shirt, Vintage necktie, Topman chinos (overused), United Colors of Benetton moccasin

Always remember that you don't need to wait for Valentine's day to show someone how much they mean to you. Hope all of you had a great day and your hearts filled with love!

My 2012

Monday, 31 December 2012

Since 2012 is coming to an end, I would like to look back at the good things happened to me this year. This year has passed so quickly. I’m just so thankful, because I've experienced and did a lot of new things this year, which I never imagined that it will happen. Even though  I had been hospitalized several times this year, I still consider it a blessing, because of it, I've learned to value life more, I became stronger and I became closer to God. This year was so amazing with a lot of amazing people that I’m so grateful for.

I really had the best Summer ever this year!! The most unforgettable was when I had my internship at RSSI and Esquire Philippines, because of it, I met new friends, a lot of creative and inspiring people and I got featured in Garage Magazine and Philippine Star.
Some of my outfits this 2012. I hope this 2013, I will be more inspired to dress-up and to blog more often!! I also want to try new things, go to the places I've never been, and get out of my comfort zone once in a while.
To all the people who have been part of my 2012, particularly my family and friends- who never left my side, thank you so much!! I really can't imagine life without you, guys.

I'm hoping that 2013 will be a greater and better year for all of us. I wish that my wishes will do come true, and yours too! More experiences, More success and More Happiness to everyone! Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right!! 2013 will be EPIC!

x,

Flying Dutchman

Friday, 16 November 2012

Flying Dutchman recently released their "Everyday Walk" Anniversary collection and I want everything! What an amazing collection! Before, they only sell dope shoes and rucksacks, but now they have trendy pieces like- printed shirts, button downs, jackets and chinos! I can really say that this is the best online shop for guys! I'm actually eyeing that floral button down and camouflage rucksack. Here's the lookbook of their new collection:

I want!! These items will really be part of my Christmas wish list.

I remember last summer, I ordered a pair of shoes from them and I had to cancel it last minute! Because size 10 (I'm size 11, btw) might not fit me and I'm not used to buying shoes without fitting it first. Good thing, they are opening their first flagship store tomorrow, November 17, 2012!!! The store will be at The Collective, Makati. You will have a chance to win a pair of shoes and meet their new ambassador, David Guison. See you there at 12 noon! :)

Where's the Bow Tie?

Tuesday, 5 June 2012

I think on this picture it's so obvious that I'm sweating like hell haha! This would be my favorite among the three looks for Garage! For me, it is the Epitome of The Dandy Ayds. But I've missed the most important thing on the look... the Bow Tie! Gaaaahd

Mixing Patterns

Monday, 28 May 2012

Last Friday, I went to SMX for the Philippine Fashion Week's OXYGEN Holiday 2012 show. That was actually the only show I've seen this season, and I must say the collection was SICK (More of that on my next post!).

Girls didn't really mind lining up wearing those killer heels just to have a good seat. It is called love for FASHION lol. Effort!!

How to stand out from the rest? Instead of the usual plain x printed why not try the print-on-print look?  There are actually so many ways to do print. I paired it with my khaki chinos because everything was dark already.

I'm actually having a hard time explaining my outfit haha. Because sometimes I think I'm not in the authority to say what to wear or not. This is just my opinion and just giving you some quick tips.  Feeling expert lol

After all, we should appear stylish without looking like we tried too hard.
What can you say about my look? Yay or Nay? Tweet me! Haha

Thrifted shirt, Forever 21 cardigan, SM Accessories belt and socks, Sperry top-siders

Bag from Topman

I actually got interviewed by the people from GMA  7 for Jessica Soho show while lining up for the Oxygen show. It was soo awkward! Haha! I hope they won't air it though.

Anyway, I'm making the most out of my summer vacation while working. As what I always say, when you’re enjoying yourself, it won’t feel like work. x

OMBRE

Sunday, 6 May 2012

Ombre shirts are really one of this summer's hottest trends.. There is just something fascinating about the gradual color change from light to dark.

Thrifted denim button up, Topman trousers and socks, Wade Brogues

Camouflage Forever 21 sunnies

Swatch watch

Topman socks, Wade Brogues

This is my outfit for today when we attended the mass, and went to Makati after with family. I was really bored yesterday, and got so inspired with this D-I-Y Ombre shirt (link)! so I decided to do my own. I bought this denim polo in a thrift store for only 60php, then Zonrox, plus hot water, then, voilĂ !  = Instant Ombre shirt! I'm definitively doing this again! ;)
Good thing, my new blue trousers complemented my "OMBRE" look! These aztec socks are also my favorite! It can easily spice up an outfit. Don't you think?  Thank you to my sisters for taking these photos!

Have a great & productive week! TDA

The Mod Life II

Thursday, 3 May 2012

According to Wikipedia, Mod (modernist) is a subculture that originated in London, England, in the late 1950s and peaked in the early-to-mid 1960s. Significant elements of the mod subculture include fashion (often tailor-made suits); music, including African American soul, Jamaican ska, British beat music, and R&B; and motor scooters.

The mass media often used the term mod in a wider sense to describe anything that was believed to be popular, fashionable, or modern.

Green Wall

Tuesday, 17 April 2012

Today was soo tiring but I had soooo much fun. We had a video shoot with David Guison at QC Circle (watch out for my next post.) And then went to Powerplant to check out the sale items in Topman! He he he
And Here's what I wore:

This aztec shirt is one of my favorites in my closet. I can just wear it as it is because of its prints. I had to remove my jacket after taking these pictures because the heat is so unbearable!

Customized Varsity Jacket + Topman aztec shirt + Sperry Top sider
Don't you just love the background? These pictures were taken outside Powerplant. Perfect spot to take my outfit pictures! I Hope you're doing great, and enjoying your summer as much as I do!

I'll be assisting in Warehouse-Edsa Shangrila tomorrow! Please visit and shop until you drop! :)

Monochromatic

Sunday, 8 April 2012

Happy Easter everyone!!

I wore this shirt for a lot of times already, but first time here on my blog Haha! Who cares?! I think it's alright to repeat clothes as long as you style or wear them differently, right?! This time I went Monochromatic. Topman brown button-down that I paired it with my Bench light brown chinos and brown belt. And my grungy chukka boots from Forever 21

This Topman shir is really one of my favorites! Speaking of Topman, I'm so happy to share that I'm part of this year's RSSI (company who owns Topman/Topshop/Warehouse/Dorothy Perkins and Ben Sherman here in the Philippines) league of fashion. Yay! So I would be very busy for the next couple of weeks! I can't wait to learn and know more about the Fashion Retail Industry, and to my favorite brand which is, Topman! I'm just so excited! Wish me luck!
